Wordless Wednesday just wasn’t for me, so welcome to the first short and sweet Mini Monday post.

Without a location, it was impossible to identify the sitter in this tintype, who according to the writing above her head was Alma Sargent.  Based on her tight-fitting bodice lined with buttons, Alma sat for this portrait in the mid to late 1880s.

  1. The face sports a 5 0clock shadow and if you look closely you can see the absence of breast’s where their are nipples like a man.
    Perhaps transgender?
